Neal Richmond is a member of 'The Rejects' and is a Richmond Birdwing (Ornithoptera richmondia). He became a part of the group after being kicked out of The Hawkmoths because of a seemingly bad relationship with the leader, Flash due to his threatening antics from his plan to become the leader himself.
Background Information
Neal was born to a Misogynistic father, and a mother who just took what she was given, being brought up by these two people, he learnt that he had to be the best, the most dominating and the most controlling. Believing the two of them had a completely normal relationship compared to other kids his age.
Unsurprisingly, Neals mum was murdered when he was 8, by his own father for speaking 'too out of hand'. Neal didn't really see this as a crime until a week later, his father was arrested and Neal himself was taken into custody and shoved in a home to be looked after. Neal was brought up by a kind woman there, who he did not take too and by the age of 16, following in his fathers footsteps and murdering her, without any regret.
However, Neal learnt from his fathers mistakes, and soon enough moved to Nectopolis before people started suspecting it was him, apparently the murder was counted by another kid in the house, and soon enough Neal began to get more confident, planning more murders in advance, but needed a job to get by.
Before joining either The Hawkmoths or The Rejects, it is noted that Neal was a stripper in a bar situated into the east of Nectopolis, called Scarabs. Neal then soon enough started up a killing business, and then started attracting customers, before being forced to stop as people became suspicious. Soon enough in his boredom, he met Lash, and came up with a new plan....
Personality
Counted as one of the most dangerous characters in Insects and Arachnids, Neal is probably one of the people you want to avoid meeting. A vindictive and ruthless killer, he strives for nothing more than to murder people who oppose him and people who just generally get in the way. A deadly bloodlust seems to consume him, and it is ultimately the main ego of his personality. His main characteristics coming through from things such as murder and homocide, inevitably being very scary to other characters.
Neal is a genuinely possessive and sadistic person, usually seen not to say much during when he's out with other members of the Rejects. Neal tends to show his moods through actions, and refuses to talk to people he doesn't think are deserving of his company.
